Feb 13 2019 membership rules amended as per vote 1.11, 1.2.2 and removal of 1.32

Current Rule 1.11
1.11. A non OCMC member (including prospective members) may participate in an OCMC cross country, Enduro (at the discretion of the event chair) or ice racing event for an additional fee of $10.00 plus rider entry per event. THERE ARE NO GUEST PASSES FOR MOTOCROSS EVENTS

Amendment:
1.11  A non OCMC member (including prospective members) may participate in an OCMC cross country, Enduro (at the discretion of the event chair) or ice racing event for an additional fee of $20.00 plus rider entry per event. MX day passes will be available for a maximum of 3 races. The cost per MX pass will be double to cost of regular member race fee on both big and small tracks. Note: when racing with a day pass, points will not be earned. All day pass racers must wear guest racing pinny

Current Rule 1.2.2
1.2.2 (Supersedes Rule 1.2.1) Membership is open to those who have submitted the Membership form, paid membership dues, signed waivers and agree to obtain three signatures on the prospective worker card. The three signatures on the prospective worker card can be obtained throughout the duration of their first series events. Failure to comply with the three signatures throughout the series events will negate the riders' points and the membership will be put on hold immediately until such volunteer requirements with three signatures are met. The computer database shall have remarks for all prospective members falling into this category for verification of compliance before moving on to a second series of events. If the prospective member does not complete the requirements set forth herein during the season and they wish to still become a member the following year, then they must repeat the process.

Amendment #2
1.2.2 (Supersedes Rule 1.2.1) A "Volunteer Membership" is open to those who have submitted the Membership form, paid membership dues including the $100 volunteer deposit, signed waivers and agree to obtain three signatures/stamps on the prospective worker card. The three signatures/stamps on the prospective worker card can be obtained throughout the duration of season. Failure to comply with the three signatures/stamps throughout the series events will see the $100 deposit forfeited. A "Non-Volunteer Membership" is open to those who have submitted the Membership form, and have included a non volunteer charge of $100 to their membership payment. A worker card will not be provided to these members. A Non-Volunteer Member MUST continue to participate in the mandatory flagging rotation

1.32. All members are required to work at least one OCMC hosted XC event or 2 MX events per year. If this requirement is not met, then the person’s membership in the following year will come under the scrutiny of the current executive. A member not having worked an OCMC event and not having a history of club support would lose all club privileges until an OCMC event is worked. THIS EXCLUDES MANDATORY FLAGGING.

Feb 6 2018 Ice racing rule changes Remove as per vote 7.2, 7.3, 7.13 and update 7.8

Remove Rule 7.2.
All bikes MUST pass tech inspection. If your kill switch is not operational you will not be allowed to participate.
- a tech inspection puts liability on the the club members running the tech inspection. Removing the rule put the liability on the rider to meet the following rules 7.8 to 7.11 that cover the mandatory bike safety equipment. We also have rule 7.24 that event organizers can use to remove riders/bikes if we feel that they are not safe.

Remove Rule 7.3.
New riders to ice racing are required to wear a fluorescent coloured safety vest.
- since the introduction of a novice class, we don’t enforce this anymore so it should be removed.

Change Rule 7.8.
From
¼” double flat, slotted head screw with a maximum height of .300” as measured from the top of the tire knobby. No chisel head screws will be allowed.
to this
Studs must be ¼” double flat, slotted head screw with a maximum height of .300” as measured from the top of the tire knobby. Chisel head screws are permitted in non progressive big wheel classes only when categorized as a chisel accepted class.

Remove Rule 7.13. Leather boots must be worn at all times.
- most riding boots are no longer leather so we may want to change this to something like “Suitable riding boots must be worn at all times"
